Have always been a fan of The Adobe Inn, my wife and I were there Saturday night to celebrate our 35th Anniversary, sorry to say it was horrible...should have said something then, but was too disappointed and didn't feel like getting into it...Service was great as usual but our meals were not..Dropping $60 for a bad meal really upsets me...Don't know how long it will take me to give The Adobe another chance...
Adobe Inn is such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay on your journey through Colorado's magical mountains. 15 minutes to Ouray. 45 minutes to Telluride. 1 mile from Orvis Hot Springs, beautiful natural mineral hot springs under the stars. Great food and very economical lodging prices. Couldn't ask for more! Love this place and will definitely come back again!
On a Girl's Weekend with 4 friends this past weekend. We decided to eat dinner at Adobe Inn, what a treat. You have to be careful not to fill up on chips and house made salsa, it's so delicious. Dinner for all of us was fabulous and we went on the lookout for the cookbook that contains the recipe for their Tamal side dish. The restaurant is tucked away but worth the time to find it. We all had doggie bags to enjoy later and we did!
I ate here 3 years ago, and the food was fantastic. My wife and I ate there tonight for a honeymoon, and the food was subpar Taco Bell at best. The homemade hot sauce, according to our waitress, was canned hot sauce you could taste the aluminum in the hot sauce. She argued with me when I called her on it, through my credit card on the table and would not call her meals. Horrible food, horrible waitress, back sprints, never be back again! John texted everybody and said
The Adobe in is easy to miss but impossible to forget. Located in an unexpected location at the end of a quiet street, the restaurant greats you with a warm and inviting atmosphere. To start, the hand made flower chips are with the trip alone. The salad is perfection on a plate with just the right amount of dressing. There is a small selection of great dishes all prepared with high quality and when possible, local ingredients. Then there are the margaritas. My personal favorite, Casadores is far and away the best marg I've had. To top it off, the staff is exceptional. Heather is our favorite and it's great waking into a place that you eat at a half dozen times each year where the staff recognizes you. If you are looking for a place to lay your head, the Adobe Inn is true to its namesake. Three small rooms are available for very reasonable rates. Bunk beds are a hit with the kids and kids at heart. You won't find a big TV or a lush private bath (bathrooms and showers are shared) here and we are just fine with that. Highly recommended!
