My partner ordered the ribs, green beans, and onion rings; my daughter had the BLT on jalapeño bread; my son chose one of the burgers, and I went with the veggie plate that included coleslaw, collard greens, black-eyed peas, and fried okra served with cornbread. I ordered the rosemary garlic chicken with 3 sides. My sides were delicious. I had fried okra, cabbage and black eyed peas. All of the veggies were great. The protein, however, was not good at all. The flat piece of chicken breast was dry and flavorless. I decided not to continue eating the chicken breast. Perhaps try using boneless skinless chicken thighs instead. However, my daughter’s BLT was really good! I did wish that my greens and black-eyed peas were served in a bowl for better soaking with my cornbread. Overall, we would definitely return if we are in the area again, though I think it should be classified as a two-dollar sign restaurant since it wasn't exactly cheap.

This restaurant offers an excellent variety of burgers and salads, in addition to blue plate specials. The staff is friendly, and the service is quick. I really enjoy the meatloaf, and the peppercorn chicken is fantastic. My favorite side dishes are the sweet potato fries and the creamy corn.
