What User doesn't like about Red Rooster Pub:
Went on a Tuesday evening and the place was surprisingly busy for mid-week. Our server was diligent and efficient and constantly checking (but not too often) to make sure we were okay or needed anything else. My disappointment was that after hearing about their excellent pizzas I was told that the pizza guy was not working that evening. Seriously, a place that promotes their pizzas only has one pizza guy on staff? An... View all feedback.
My experience in the red rooster was without asking a negative, but what made it especially infuriating was that it would be so easy to fix some of these problems so easy, they wonder why it was not done before I went into the door. I came here this week with my mother to eat. this is a place where we often go away to the inner city of ridgefield to lunch, and from the outside it looks like a more upscale dining that would have a big Sunday brunch. I was surprised when I looked at the website and realized that it was more mainstream/blue collar, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it makes me wonder why they finally went into this direction when they had such a beautiful building to play around. they have spent much time and money on the inner, too big effect. it has a rustic building / table vibe with wood everywhere. some of the partitions have metal bars, so it feels like you are in an old west prison (but you are not unhappy about it). my mother, who is very special about her culinary experiences and had to suffer from many hipster gastroubs outside her comfort zone, was enchanted. I've never seen her stand up from her table to walk around and watch the decor. it was especially taken with the huge ears. for red rooster will she hopefully writes a review to counter me because she had a great time here and had plans to come back. I had an ominous feeling when I sat down in my chair and immediately felt a painful pain in my hand. a quick inspection confirmed that a sharp object slightly protrudes from the seat edge, which was markedly stained and worn. at this point I should have changed the seats, but I thought I would avoid this edge. I forgot it, of course, 20 minutes later and was stabbed again. the second stalk is on me. at the end of eating I brought it to the waiter's attention, who thanked me and said they would see it in the eye. I have attached a picture of the chair here, and they can see that it should have been replaced before a past. again a simple fixation that should be fixed before a customer has drawn almost blood, especially because it is so noticeable. if they have the financial resources to open several stalls (they also have restaurants in wilton and newtown,) they should be able to for freshly padded chairs. for my escape I ordered the elchburger. it wasn't very good. this particular piece of meat had literally fat pockets in where you would bite in the burger and spray with fat, almost like a pickle (I know. I was also robbed it did not take long until the floor of the bungalow was also completely softened with the fat. most of us have made a burger before and know that squeeze out the fat during the cooking process. once again, a simple repair. my mother has a pesto Tortellini court with garnel. she loved it naturally and would order it again in a heartbeat. it is stunning that this person sat two meters away from me and somehow ate in a completely different restaurant. After we ordered the guts, I decided to get a cocktail. we no longer had the menus, so I went on the restaurant website on my phone and found a drink called the part time lover, the tequila and aperol. two minutes after I had ordered it, the waiter came back tasty and said that the drink had not been on the menu for a few months. not a big thing, but the idea that this restaurant did not die to update its online menu is a bit over. and for the third and last time a simple fixation. that seemed like a sign to stay stone cold sober what I did. the service was in order, the problems that I experienced had nothing to do with our waiter who did a solid job, and eating came out quite quickly. frankly, it was the only saving gnad, after my opinion. I don't know how to teleport to the restaurant my mother ate.
Pricey, but interesting food. Ordered the elk burger and a Mediterranean salad. Both tasted excellent. Ordered Bellinis and were given mimosas. Our waitress was happy to fix the mistake when I pointed it out to her.
Charming old house converting into lively pub. Wonderful staff and delicious food. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and amazing also the best fried Brussels sprouts I’ve ever had. Great place to watch the game too. Highly recommended!
Great burger! Good beer, cool place, good food, what else do you need. We will definitely be back, there's a bunch of stuff on the menu we still want to try.
If I could give 0 stars. last Saturday afternoon I went to a reservation for Sunday (the next day) by 1 hour for 4ppl. the hostess told me first that they only reserve 5 people, but then he said he would take us wonderful. I asked if it was possible to stand in the middle of the bar area so that my nephew could see the games on the television (our reason to want the bar area). we didn't want to sit in the dining room. he said the numbers 3 or 4 are in the middle. great. very remarkable. he sent us to the reservation book. we arrived on Sunday at 1 o'clock. another man at the reception immediately took us into the (empty) dining room. I told him we had a reservation for 4ppl in the cash. He said he hadn't looked at the reservation book, didn't know where it was, and did not try to find it. not only were stalls
