A tale of two lunches. We heard so much about this Ridgefield restaurant and went for a late lunch yesterday. My husband's hanger steak was cooked to perfection and fries were delivered fresh, thin and hot. He also sampled two of the steak sauces sauces the Roquefort and the green pepper. The roquefort was delicious, subltle and flavorful. I was not a fan of the green pepper sauce but I think that was personal preference and not the sauce itself. The escargot was good but not a standout. I ordered two appetizers as my meal and I was disappointed in both. The French Onion Soup had a sugary taste, I've never had a sweet onion soup. The beet salad had hardly any dressing and the blue cheese wedges were hard. not creamy and not very rich in flavor. We didn't have any dessert. It was a bit of a let down.
