Called in on a Saturday evening and booked a dog friendly table in the bar. Unfortunately, we'd picked a super busy evening. The waitress said it wasn't normally that busy and kindly moved us into a quiet corner of the restaurant as the dogs were getting a bit nervous. The food is amazing, the best cheese souffle I've ever tasted, and I wasn't disappointed by the chicken parmo either. We didn't stay for pudding but w... View all feedback.
What egaunt6 doesn't like about The Heifer:

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch with our family and dog at this restaurant. The staff made us feel very welcome and provided great service throughout the meal. The bar area had a cozy atmosphere and we were highly impressed with the high quality of the food. The desserts were also tasty. We will definitely be returning to The Heifer pub in the future.

The welcome we received was not particularly warm, as we were not expected and the lady seemed unsure if she could accommodate us without a reservation. Eventually, she was able to fit us in but insisted we order quickly before the next table arrived. Despite knowing what we wanted, she took 15 minutes to come back and take our order, which made the experience a bit awkward. While we did enjoy our meal, I felt that the bill for the four of us was too high for what we received.
I had a reservation for a table with friends on a Saturday night at The Heifer. Despite the chaos of the 'Scorton Feast' happening outside, we had a peaceful and enjoyable time with delicious food and attentive service. For my meal, I started with scallops and chorizo followed by an amazing burger for my main course. My friends ordered more exotic-sounding dishes, which all arrived promptly and were the envy of the table. The food was so flavorful that I left feeling like I hadn't eaten that well in a long time. If you're looking for superb food in the Richmond area, The Heifer is a must-try.
Sunday lunch at The Heifer. Long time since we've ventured out for Sunday lunch and so glad our research paid off. Food excellent, staff accommodating and friendly. Made for great experience.
Loved our visit. Excellent food, great service....and the best Espresso martini ever we've ever tasted :
