The young woman who sho... read more This is clearly a good restaurant, most reviewers have enjoyed their visit. Unfortunately, I am not one of them. Our evening began well. The young woman who showed us to our table recommended the Starward whiske. I have not had it before and it was excellent. We also ordered sparkling water, a glass of wine and a beer. We had finished them all and our waiter was standing nearby chatting with a colleague with their backs to us. We did not get an opportunity to order another drink until our food arrived sometime later. It was not as if the waiting staff were busy. Just not trying very hard. But then, things really nosedived. My sirloin steak arrived cut up. Why do restaurants not warn patrons of this infuriating practice? It's very hard to enjoy a meal when you're angry. To insult to injury, my shoestring chips appeared to have suffered the same fate. How long should a shoestring be? Surely more than about an inch! The wines by the glass are excellent and in the $12 $15 range. The total bill was about $230. I left a $100 tip to make up for the fact I won’t returning.
