Initially sat near overwhelming toilet stench, asked to move table which took two moves including a non marked reservation table. Service very slow. Food was the most disappointing Vietnamese we have ever eaten. Absolutely no flavour, spring rolls were microwaved and flatter than a pancake and had no filling, chicken stir fry was large chunks of thawed out chicken, fried rice consisted of only rice no vegetables and had not been fried was gluggy and microwaved. Shame because we have eaten here twice before and was reasonable but definitely will not be returning. For how much food costs these days everything should be up to a basic standard which it simply wasn’t. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–40
Early dinner seating. Beef in betel leaves small and oily. Our second and finial visit, first time was friendly but average too. Not authentic, but a safe choice though. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–20
Very sad to hear about the passing of Frank. But his nephews are doing his memory proud by continuing the tradition of fabulous food and service. I love visiting tran tran. This week we had whole flounder, salt n pepper squid and sizzling prawns. The quality is consistently great. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Good work guys! You are legends
Really enjoyable dinner with a large group of friends. The staff were friendly, and we were able to BYO wines. We ordered a selection of dishes, and everything was very tasty...especially the Mongolian beef and the pork and spring rolls with vermicelli. Highlight was the birthday cake that was brought out for my friend, got some funny photos with it. Defs worth checking out for reasonably priced food, BYO and good for big groups.
