What User doesn't like about Richmond Bakery and Cafe:
My partner and I visited the bakery today, the young girl at the counter was excellent, the food was soooo disappointing, we purchased a pie and sausage rolls, not only were they verging on lukewarm/cold but the sausage rolls consistency was gluggy and so much onion. So unhappy that we couldn't even eat it View all feedback.
We grabbed breakfast here twice and had great experiences. Hot drinks were prepared quickly, melting moments were scrumptious, and we especially liked the Victorian feel of the Banbury slice.
Need a new batch of staff, miserable rude staff, especially the one making coffee, pies not so good, all in not a good experience want be going back there.
The scallop curry pies were delicious and worth the drive to Richmond. The deserts also looked wonderful but were too full to try.
Compared with mainland Australia the bakers in Tasmania are exceptional. Richmond Bakery is no exception to this rule. We tried a couple of pastries however it was the vanilla slice that stole the show. The custard was exceptional. It would be a crime not to purchase a vanilla slice when you visit Richmond.
We went for lunch and ended up ordering more food than we could eat. We got 3 pies for the two of us, which turned out to be too much. The pies were delicious, as were the Lamingtons.
