We looked at the stalls during our stroll round Christmas at Kew, but weren't that impressed by quality or price, however the White Peaks cafe made us some delicious drinks and food at a much cheaper price. The staff were lovely also. View all feedback.
What TourMD doesn't like about White Peaks Cafe Closed:
Surprised by the worn, mismatched decorations, the dirty tables, the pathetic choice of food uncovered which anyone can handle, the cobwebs and insects on the fan above and the attitude of the server noting the cost for two tea bags in paper cups and a poor quality piece of tart. Surrounded by screaming kids to make the occasion just perfect. Will bring a sandwich and picnic next time. This was just plain sad. Kew wha... View all feedback.
Monsoon rains drove me to lunch at Kew gardens. Very pleasantly surprised by range and quality of food available here. Today's fish stew was really tasty.. a bit of a shock to find plastic cutlery in a place I'd expect to be leading the way on reducing plastic use. If you can get past that faux pas a very good lunch
Kew ought to be ashamed of this place. We only ended up here because of the long queues to pay for food in the Orangery. The over priced food we had here was cold by the time we had queued and found a clean table. It was served on paper plates and we had to use plastic cutlery. Wine was served in a plastic cup. Once we had eaten half our food and pushed it to on side the resident pigeons meandering around the floor jumped on the table to finish it off ....at least they were happy. Not sure what the environmental health people would say about this place.
We went there on 31/12 and had the Macaroni cheese (luke warm at best and tasted very dull and bland). Presentation being dumped on a paper plate is zero stars along with the food itself which cost £7.95. I had a hot dog and chips. The chips were very few and just about warm, the hot dog was in a cheap looking 5p roll and the meat itself was of poor quality. The onions were tastless and over cooked. We also had a frangipane which was very dry. Overall very POOR VALUE. AVOID

The food is terrible and price's a bloody disgrace. I would suggest you take a lunch box to Kew rather than eat Their slop.
