This restaurant is a classic and traditional historical spot. The steak pie is excellent, the quiche is fluffy, the scones are divine, and the sandwiches are delicious. They also serve moist and hearty cakes. Newens has perfected the classics. The price-performance ratio is great compared to other overly elegant restaurants that charge more for less. We will definitely be returning. The staff, especially Kimberly, ar... View all feedback.

After having enjoyed a high tee at honorary girls for years, I was really disappointed during my last visit. the decoration no longer looked historically graceful, but now it looked just suffocated and unkempt. I was also really surprised that the waiter wasn't in the position, mine. look for no butter in my finger sandwiches because the cook was too busy. I took my little niece for high tea following a trip to Kew Gardens, we are local and have always wanted to visit. The staff were lovely and very welcoming, the tea rooms full of old fashioned charm and the tea was really well done....A real treat. Can’t wait to go back.
We came for a quick snack in the middle of the afternoon, after the lunch break. we sat fast and had a look at the very extensive menu. it wasn't quite clear whether we should order at the counter or whether a waitress would come to us. at the end I gave up waiting for the latter and went to the counter before a waitress discovered me and came over. we ordered two tees and some baked goods, the tee was very good and the baked goods hot and delicious when they came. nb there is a considerable mark (c. 100 when they eat, instead of taking pasties, quiches etc. we also took some of the famous maids of honour, which were also delicious. the service was a bit chaotic. it seemed no clear distinction of the responsibilities between that who was seated to take the orders and serve at the theke, and not enough personal control over tables in the restaurant. I didn't try to wait to pay the card machine on the counter as we left. this place could be greatly improved by a better system or perhaps only more employees who are disappointed, how eating is great and the story is very improved.

I was also really surprised that the waiter wasn't in the position, mine. look for no butter in my finger sandwiches because the cook was too busy. I would have thought that a worker could take a couple of brot in the hand. I didn't feel the approach focused on the customer and felt rushed and they did, is a gunst that we could be there.
I came with my sister and friend for high tea, and had a lovely time. I went for 20 pound savory high tea option and was so satisfied with the delicious array of sandwiches and savory pastries. The service was excellent, especially the Brazilian woman...from São Paulo who served our table. I highly recommend this cafe, especially if you're making a trip to Richmond. We were able to walk here from the overground stop. Lastly, the decorations, music, and vibe inside were so cozy! Make a stop here for some tea and pastries .
Lovely to return to this place after such a long time. A hearty pie lunch followed by very tasty cakes. We all left very pleased indeed.
