Saw this restaurant on the bus to Richmond. Checked the reviews and decided to book. What a find! Great table. Exemplary host, knowledgeable about the various dishes, some known however Nepalese food is more subtle than the average ‘Indian’ food. All your favourite Indian dishes are readily available. What Flowerytwats doesn't like about Annapurna Nepalese:
We are regular customers to both the restaurant (visited in December) and their delivery service. The former is usually excellent and the latter is normally good. Not this time i'm afraid. The food arrived barely warm, the curry was tasty but not what i ordered, and the accompaniments, which i had asked for, did not arrive. We were a table of 10 in the private room and felt like we were forgotten. Took 2 hours for our main courses to arrive despite the restaurant not being full, in the meantime multiple takeaways went out promptly. The food was good but not worth the wait.
This is one of our favourite restaurants. The food is excellent, freshly made, and well balanced, while the service is welcoming and friendly but also very professional. The venue itself is very clean and modern. A true hidden gem. We're looking forward to trying the new outdoor space once the weather improves.
What a wonderful find. The best chicken korma I have ever tasted (Yes, I know, but I don't do hot curries! Buttered nan bread was a first for me and a gorgeous mango dessert. Nothing was too much trouble!
I had the King Prawn Saag and garlic naan. I eat curry often and this was the best I have ever had. Incredibly tasty, lots of prawns and not at all oily. The service was great too very efficient and also friendly.
Very good Nepslese food with a comfortable atmosphere. I believe we were served by the owner who was polite and helpful.
