Xe Lua - Richmond Hill
Xe Lua
Description
Despite some positive experiences, the overall consensus on Pho Xe Lua Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine is mixed. While some diners praise the delicious food at affordable prices, others highlight issues with service and food quality. The restaurant has received praise for its pho bowls and rice dishes, but some have found the food lacking in authenticity, with complaints about dry fish balls, overcooked wontons, and seasoning powder in the broth. Despite the flavorful broth in the traditional pho, the inconsistent quality leaves room for improvement. With dedicated patrons and repeat customers, the restaurant has potential but may benefit from addressing the reported shortcomings for a more consistent dining experience.

This Vietnamese restaurant serves delicious food at affordable prices. I highly recommend trying the XL pho and the rice dishes. I will definitely be returning.
Pho Xe Lua Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine deserves nothing less than five stars for their outstanding traditional Pho and mouthwatering Chicken Vermicelli!Firstly, the traditional Pho served at Pho Xe Lua is an absolute delight. The rich and aromatic broth, simmered to perfection, fills the air with tantalizing scents. The tender slices of beef and fresh herbs create a harmonious symphony of flavors that dance on your taste buds with every spoonful. It is a true testament to the authentic Vietnamese flavors that Pho Xe Lua is so renowned for.Secondly, the Chicken Vermicelli is a culinary masterpiece that leaves a lasting impression. The vermicelli noodles are perfectly cooked, providing a light and satisfying base for the dish. The grilled chicken is tender and succulent, complemented by a medley of fresh vegetables and herbs that add a delightful crunch and freshness to every bite. Topped with a delectable dressing that balances sweet, savory, and tangy notes, this dish is a burst of delightful flavors that will leave you craving more. Both of these dishes exemplify the authenticity and attention to detail that Pho Xe Lua brings to every plate. Their commitment to serving traditional Vietnamese cuisine is evident in every aspect of these two dishes, and I can't recommend them enough to anyone looking for an extraordinary dining experience.
Food was delicious and very fairly priced compared to everything else these days. Service was very friendly and fast. The pho tastes very authentic and I especially like the thin noodles. The chicken was not dry at all and I highly recommend avocado smoothies here. The owner Andy was lovely to talk to!
The pho was good with nice flavours and lots of noodles. The fish balls were good but a little dry and the fried wontons seemed to be a slightly over fried. Also, with the pho, we did not receive any of the garnish, mint, sprouts, sauce.
Gave it a try... Appreciate the making a bowl of noodles.. but.. if you want to try authentic Vietnamese Pho and Bun Bo Hue. There are more better places. Sorry but I feel sad after I finished the meal.. I wish the owner could put more efforts into making the broth (especially BunBo Hue it taste was just seasoning powder) and the toppings (topping of Pho was okay, but Bun Bo Hue so sad). Though, the noodles of Pho were tasty and chewy. It was 13 for Bun Bo Hue. 11 for Pho.Hope this helps the owner improve the quality of the foods mentioned. Thank you.
