This is my favourite authentic Japanese restaurant. The fish is fresh, the sashimi and sushi are always excellent. Good and friendly service as well. True, this place is own by Japanese, but I highly doubt he is a fully trained sushi chef.On a regular day, the food is okay, but definitely AVOID this restaurant on a holiday. 1) They would do take out party trays before they do dinning room orders, which means you would wait up to 1½ hours for 10 pcs of sushi. 2) Do not order hand rolls of any kind, as they will be done by an amature part time who definitely is not... While the prices may be slightly higher, the quality and consistency of the food justify the cost. Despite occasional slow service due to busyness, the attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction shine through. For an authentic Japanese dining experience, Miyabi in Richmond Hill comes highly recommended.
