True, this place is own by Japanese, but I highly doubt he is a fully trained sushi chef.On a regular day, the food is okay, but definitely AVOID this restaurant on a holiday. 1) They would do take out party trays before they do dinning room orders, which means you would wait up to 1½ hours for 10 pcs of sushi. 2) Do not order hand rolls of any kind, as they will be done by an amature part time who definitely is not... This is probably one of the best sushi joints in Markham..Never a dissapointment. During the cold months like Sept/Oct, make sure you try their Saba
Came here for lunch with the same colleagues who had raved about their dinner here the night before.
My mother wanted to check out Miyabi so we trekked it up here on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
It"s a hole-in-the-wall kind of a place. its exterior belies the gem that it is. the sushi chef is phenomenol. service is pleasant. they try to please you. there are even some private booths in the front.
I visited this place because I wanted to try okonomiyaki, and there are not many places that serve it. It was so good! I will be dreaming about it until the next time I go. The sushi was very nice as well. Very different from what we have become accustomed to in Canada. I want to try more. The staff were very friendly too...I will definitely be back. I'm glad it's so close to the Viva Bus line!
