This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. The pho is great, as well as the spring rolls and every dish I have tried. My favorite is V8, a rice vermicelli with a combination of grilled meats and a crispy spring roll with some veggies and added fish sauce. My girlfriend and I had our first date there. What Meagan Gleichner doesn't like about Vietnam 1:
they came here to come back all the time when she was farther to the west. eating is just not as good as before. the prices continue to rise, and the portions shrink. that combined with the quality drop leads to a rather bad experience. View all feedback.
I've been here three timesFound it looking for a different Pho location and feel in love I really enjoy the service and most importantly the Pho .
I've actually been here a few times over the past decade I've been in RVA but have always preferred pho so 1.
I'll start this off right, Vietnam One is on point. Last night we went to take a friend of ours out for my favorite Pho in the city (sorry not at Vietnam
I had recently been to this restaurant after many years. The food was good. I had my typical asian vegetarian dishes, the service was pretty good. They did have a lot of customers. However, i felt that items were on the pricier side close to the $15 to $20 per dish, and the kick in the stomach was that the portions were on the smaller side, leaving you still hungry as you left the restaurant. I wish they were a little bit more generous with the portions, given the cost of each dish. If you are not one of those fancy overpriced michelin star restaurants, if you are a regular mom and pop restaurant, i expect the prices to be reasonable, and the portions to be more than adequate. This, thankfully, is an easy fix and I hope they do it.
I’ve eaten here on and off over the past decade. Now that I moved to RVA permanently, it’s typically my go-to since I like to shop at Tan A for convenience. I feel like the food has declined some over the years and has less punch to the spices and sauces. The portions have gotten smaller but that’s pretty expected nowadays. I do see that there are less Asian people eating there so maybe that’s why the taste has changed… lol. Not a lot of other decent competition though, so I can’t complain too much since there’s no Eden center here.
