Contribute FeedbackTramonto restaurant offers great food with a comprehensive menu featuring delicious options like bison carpaccio, sea bass, and seafood pasta. The service, however, seems to be inconsistent according to some diners, with complaints about slow orders and lack of attention. The ambiance of the restaurant varies, with some guests unhappy about seating arrangements and noise levels. Despite some drawbacks, many diners still appreciate the quality of the food, the attentive service from staff like Chris, and the beautiful views overlooking the marina. Overall, Tramonto may be a good choice for a special occasion or a romantic date night, but families looking for a more casual dining experience may want to consider other options.
We are in a distant relationship, and tramonto was our first date together in the januar 2018. we really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere that felt like a more intimate experience, and our server was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the salmon and my friend ordered the steak with lobster and wild mushrooms (I still bump to not get the same! but both meals were still amazing. we tried a little of everyone, and he loved the pairing and aromen with the wild mushrooms and steak. for a first date this was the perfect experience, and a great view paired with fine eating and professional service. I feel the only drawback is that the menu seems to change the whole year. I appreciate what is available freshly at the time, what is understandable in a definitiw. (visited in januar 2018. created an account to share our new and earlier experiences.
I was surprised to see the restaurant had cheap, bare tables without tablecloths, but the serviettes were excellent. We decided to order the $109 ribeye steak for two and received a free appetizer. We requested a medium-rare cook on the steak, but it arrived dripping with fat and oil, gray on the outside and raw on the inside. When we complained about the rawness, the steak was taken back to the kitchen and returned with one side gray and the other side raw. The ribeye itself was strange, lacking the usual ribbed fat and instead having 2 cm strips of fat and gristle running through it. The mashed potatoes were good but cold, and it seemed like the quality of the restaurant had declined significantly. It appeared that the chef was inexperienced with cooking steak properly.
If they go to the river rock, please go to tramonto. this is one of the best restaurants in vancouver. the menu is extensive and includes many locally sourced ingredients. everything – from pre-dwelling drinks to the last morsel – is perfect in taste and presentation. the employees are all rock...stars of customer service!
Tramonto has changed a lot since the last time. the great differences are the menu and the ambiente of the place, and for me the changes made are not the better. once I found something on the menu I wanted (from a very limited choice,) eating was very good. our server explained everything very well about the changes in the restaurant and provided an overall excellent service. but the changes are not after my taste and I will not go back.
We went to Tramonto restaurant looking for a fine dining experience for our family. Although the meals were nice there is a lot of room for improvement. There is no children’s menu and the chicken my daughter ordered was barely cooked. The meals were pretty...small, although affordable we were somewhat disappointed. The wagyu steak was tiny but sensational, but it was more of a tease than a meal! Families looking for a nice meal may find better elsewhere but it would suit maybe a business dinner.
