What Kattie Tillman doesn't like about The Black Sheep:

My first time here. I had heard about their giant subs and had been wanting to try them for a while. I had the 12" (half) USS Brooklyn. It was very tasty. The chick had good flavor and the slaw added a good fresh crunch. Very pleased. Next time I go back I'm trying the breakfast. Check them out! View all feedback.

read moreThis small but popular restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its massive, delicious sandwiches that are more like salads in a baguette. The brunch menu features breakfast items served during lunch, with French toast and Bayou Biscuit and gravy receiving mixed reviews. The fingerling potatoes side dish is highly recommended. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly, with a back patio for enjoying drinks during the inevitable wait for a table. The menu also includes Creole Benedict with shrimp and ham, as well as a tasty La Brea Tarpit dessert. Overall, while the food is delicious, the long waits may deter some diners from returning, with Richmond offering many other great dining options.
