Contribute FeedbackThe reviews for Spice of India in Richmond paint a mixed picture of the restaurant. Some customers had a pleasant experience, praising the delicious food like the malai kofta and butter chicken, as well as the friendly service they received. However, there were complaints about the interior decor and the quality of certain dishes, such as stringy chicken and bland flavors. Despite this, many diners found the lunch buffet to be a good value, with generous portions that allowed them to skip dinner. Overall, Spice of India seems to offer a variety of Indian dishes that range in quality, making it a hit or miss for customers depending on their preferences and expectations.
Ate here a few times before, the food was good to me. Today I tried to order something they didn't have on the menu without realizing, the chef came out and offered to make it for me which I thought was really nice. I thoroughly enjoy this place.
Great seasoning the chicken was moist and the garlic naan!!!! Omg so good
Putting aside that the inside needs work (ceiling tiles, etc), the food is often very good! They should give a larger amount of steamed rice though. But that aside, the prices are what one would expect in any Indian restaurant.
Came for the buffet which was great. I'm not claiming it's authentic because I have no idea but I stuffed my face and was able to skip dinner so it was like 2 meals in one :D It appear the city charges 2 different taxes so the final amount was more like $18 after tax and tip but I assume this is the norm for the area (tourist)
Hands down best and most true Indian hot cuisine in Richmond. I had the pleasure of enjoying this food while on-call for Thanksgiving. The hospital cafeteria was overrun and Spice of India saved the day. Best thanksgiving of all time. I am going back.
