I discovered Nutty Buttery during RVA black restaurant week. What a little pleadant surprise they were! We just left the restaurant and had high hopes based on recommendations from a foodie friend. Unfortunately, it seems that the impact of Covid might have affected your establishment. Today, you had a chance to deliver the greatness our friend spoke about, but you missed that opportunity. We only ordered drinks, and that turned into quite an ordeal. Literally writing this review as I’m sitting here live music playing, amazing atmosphere, drinks can be a lil pricey but honestly so worth it for the vibe and service!!! 10/10, wishing this business the best

They also had an artist selling her paintings (A lil tough of gee her stuff is really good, go check her out! The food was reasonably priced and had vegan options! (Yay! I had a curried chickpea potato rice dish, and a mango icecream. Both hit the spot!
This place is great. You feel as if you are walking into another time zone. Very cozy and beautifully decorated. The open mics are amazing! It is truly a fantastic little gem in a historic part of town. (Foods great too)
