Kahlo's Taqueria - Richmond

Beware of roaches!We sat on the patio for 30 minutes and no one ever took our order. Two waitresses kept walking by as if we were invisible. We decided to go inside and sit at the bar hoping to order. We were greeted 3 different times. One lady asked if we were having drinks. We said yes, margaritas. Then she walked off and never came back. Another lady asked and we told her the same thing, but she continued to clean glasses. Then one of the waitresses from the patio greeted us as if it were her first time seeing us. 40 minutes later, we still hadn’t ordered food and no margaritas BUT we did get a glass of water with a ROACH floating on top! After that we left.The whole ordeal was unbelievable. Do better. Very inattentive and unorganized.

It's a very cute space in a wonderful location. I wanted to love it, but the quality of food/drinks was not exceptional. The drinks were made from that industrial jug of pre-made mix, which was very disappointing. There's nothing unique or interesting on this menu differentiating it from the other 1200 Mexican restaurants. Kind servers, but very inattentive. Felt basically ignored.

Beautiful restaurant with excellent customer service and good food!!

We opted for appetizers over entrees. We had the California fries, the Texas nachos and cheese dip. All three items were very good but we really liked the nachos and fries. The service was ok and we had two loud drunk/high people near us which was aggravating. We will definitely be back however.

I went to Kahlo’s with a group of 3 friends and we had a great time. We were seated on the patio, which was nice and spacious. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious. They also gave us free chips and salsa, which were crunchy and fresh. I had a 3 taco meal, which came with rice and beans. I had barbacoa, and two chorizo tacos, which were flavorful and juicy. We all enjoyed some Tecate and margs, which were refreshing and strong. Two of them got a big burrito, which was filling and satisfying. My other friend got a chorizo burger thing, which was stellar. It was a huge burger with chorizo, cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato and onion. It looked amazing and he said it was one of the best burgers he ever had. Kahlo’s is a great place to go for authentic Mexican food and drinks. It’s got a fun atmosphere and a reasonable price. I can’t wait to go back! ???
