Huang's Express - Richmond

I ordered the chicken and broccoli lunch special with extra garlic and white rice. it comes with a small vegetable roll, which was mediocre. The chicken and broccoli however was excellent. The sauce was not salty. I enjoyed every bite and there was some leftover for my Dachshund!

The chefs go to the extreme to make the customer happy, the food is very tasteful. I wish they were closer to where I live.

Definitely in my top #5 favorite places to order some delicious takeout!!! My stomach is always satisfied after my meal. Great atmosphere too. I hope they stay there long?

Disappointed. Let me start by saying that I have had many great experiences with Huang?s Express. However, one bad experience can really ruin something. I ordered the General Tso?s tofu and veggie fried rice the other day. Got the tofu home and it was extremely dry and barely hot. Made it very hard to chew. I could tell it wasn?t made fresh. So, I called and was really nice about it as explained what I had and that I client come back that night, but could back the next day for a fresh order if possible. She went and talked to the manager and came back to the phone to tell me to bring my meal back in the next day and they would make me a fresh order. I went back in the next day with my original order and reminded them that I had called. They took the old order and started a new one and told me to come back in 10-15 mins. Before I left, I even told them that I wanted to order an additional vegetable fried rice. That was really to be nice and to show it wasn?t a big deal that I wasn?t satisfied with the last order. Well, I came back in 10 mins later to get my food and as I?m approaching the counter, the cashier starts to hand me a fork. I was confused. She said that they wanted me to taste my tofu before I left the store to ensure there were no issues. I don?t know the intention behind that, but it felt rude. I explained that my order was for takeout. I did not want to stand there and open my food and have her watch me taste it. I did feel the container and peeked inside and could tell that it was a piping hot and fresh order (something I typically received, but did not the previous night). I felt as if they thought I was the problem?as if I actually wanted to waste my time and gas to drive back there to get a new order just for the fun of it. I don?t think others would have been treated that way. Unfortunately, I won?t be ordering anymore food from there.

Cleanliness: -2 Taste: Average. Not fantastic, nor the worst. Just fine. Cost: $60 for two for dinner/left overs.
