Front Porch Cafe - Richmond

This charming café has a delightful ambiance that evokes a Parisian feel but with a local touch. It's conveniently located in Church Hill, on the East End of Richmond, right next to the Richmond Community Center on Nine Mile Road. It truly feels like a hidden oasis for morning visitors! The lattes and espressos are expertly crafted—much better than what you’ll find at Starbucks! This will definitely be my go-to spot for mornings!

Great space with plenty of drink, food, and seating options! Not only does this cafe feel comfortable for all kinds of people, it’s clearly plugged into the community and promotes it as well. The space is very clean and has plenty of accessible outlets; very important for those spending hours here. It also has a lovely outdoor space with wide tables for larger groups or those seeking fresh air; though outdoor seating is a few more steps from the actual front door. The drinks were a bit watery, but the food (I ordered the grits! was very delicious and fresh. I would love to return again and try more.

This restaurant is fantastic—a real hidden gem! The short-rib hash is absolutely delicious, and the coffee is exceptional! The service was friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be returning time and time again!

Great selection of gluten free and vegan options! The taste was great and the coffee was excellent. My favorite parts were the smoked chicken, greens, and miel coffee! Also the company is super ethical and uses compostable utensils.

Absolutely above and beyond service. They forgot to record my drink order initially and then went out of their way to correct their mistake making a free drink and offering us a punch card for a free drink in the future. Staff is friendly and accommodating for all types of diets and dietary restrictions. Gotta try the beef hash!!
