Nice little spot, the door looks smart, but please get in, it's worth it! I was a couple of times and love in the good lunches (3 sushi rolls for the price of 2? Yes, please! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a quick bite. Only what I do not recommend is the Martini haha View all feedback.
What Abigail Edwards doesn't like about Carytown Sushi:
My daughter and I are absolutely in love with CSush (affectionately known as such)! The vegetarian sushi here is exceptional and we make it a point to dine here as often as we can. The vegetable tempura roll is simply amazing. Our preferred server is incredibly accommodating and makes us feel like valued guests every time we visit. Without a doubt, this is the best sushi spot in Richmond. Additionally, the interior o... View all feedback.
Best cut of nigiri/sushi i’ve had in a while. i went here on a saturday night and lucky for us it wasn’t too crowded. the specialty rolls were good but the highlight of the meal was definitely the sushi. the cut of fish was thick and fresh. you don’t find many places that do that anymore so 5/5 for that. in general a nice little date spot
Food is delicious. Staff is so friendly and attentive. I'm pretty sure they even adjusted the thermostat because I said I was cold.
As a lover of sushi, I had to try out Carytown Sushi and see what all the hype was about. The interior is gorgeous and has a very minimal and calm vibe. It seems like they aim for traditional with a modern twist. This transfers directly to their menu as well. While they do have all of the classics, they also have interesting twists in their menu that you’d never expect. The food and waiting staff were absolutely exceptional and I had an amazing time. 10/10 would recommend; stop by here when you’re down on Cary St!
This lovely little restaurant sits right at the beginning of carytown, the end closest to the fan in Richmond , Va. My partner and I loved the atmosphere and it was nice and comfortable despite it being around 20 degrees outside. The space is a little small and there only is space for one party to wait inside the restaurant and that is at the small bar they have. I'm pretty sure they had to decrease the amount of people they allow dining in because of covid. I started with a delicious warm seafood soup that actually had all types of seafood in it like shrimp and fish for $5! (Not common) Next I ordered the New York rolls which had salmon , avocado, and cucumber and 6 came per order for $5 and they were amazing! For my main meal I ordered the thick noodles with beef and it was very flavorful and delicious. My partner ordered the chicken hibachi (couldn't get a pic because she dove right in) and that was even more delicious and amazing. I swear it got better with every bite! They perfected blending all the ingredients. Staff was great, only one server around the time we went but she did amazing tending to us. I absolutely will come back and recommend to friends! Oh for it being in carytown the prices are awesome and not expensive at all! A place 2 doors down had a normal Topo Chico for $8. Carytown can be crazy with their prices sometimes. No way will I ever pay that for a simple drink with no alcohol. My reasoning behind giving 4 stars and not 5 stars is that there were many items on the menu I had zero idea what they were and I wasn't about to bother the server with a million questions. So pictures to aid customer on some of the not so common plates would've helped. other than that, this place is great!
