Bamboo first visit! The food was unexpected and delicious and with quick and friendly service. I recommend it and will return for more. This is a great spot to grab a beer and have great food with good people. Loved it! View all feedback.
What Bridget Klocko doesn't like about Bamboo Cafe:
inserting sad face. it was at least an hour for us to get orders from nachos. I could have gone to the Taco bell after afteros. they tasted okay, but I ordered the chili on it and they forgot it. View all feedback.
My wife and I are new to the fan and we’re methodically checking out all the restaurants within walking distance of our home. Bamboo came up and as an option so we gave it a try. Extremely neighborhood oriented spot and, as newcomers, the staff couldn’t be bothered to tear away themselves from the more familiar. We were greeted however by a mouse scurrying across the floor by our booth. He was clearly not a visitor and seemed very comfortable and at home. Clearly, the mouse was a part of the neighborhood. When I pointed out to the waitress that they had a mouse, she seemed unsurprised and nonchalant, as if he was, indeed, a regular. Perhaps he had a name let’s go with Frank. Frank was a part of the usual crowd like Norm. Anyways, we had already ordered by the time Frank appeared so we ate. Burger was benign and uninspiring. My wife had chili which she said was good and a side salad which had stale greens but fresh tomatoes. So, atmosphere not welcoming, food ok and service perhaps you should ask Frank.
Love this place! My sister introduced me to this little place and I always ask to go...lol.
New to RVA, and just experienced Bamboo for 1st time~ understandably an OG beloved institution of this city!!! service was warm, attentive, excellent; atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, where folks all around looked to be enjoying friend meetups, planned and accidental! warmed our hearts, and if I were a local would love to call it my Cheers food very good too, just had a nosh, but look forward to trying more inc brunch. Thank You, Bamboo Cafe!
If you enjoy a loud, fast-paced, and friendly environment, this place is for you. They have amazing staff and drink selection, all at a price point that won't break the bank. Highly recommend for a quick refreshment in town!
This is a really comfortable neighborhood corner bar. The glasses were frosty, the atmosphere is cozy, and there is a big TV for watching sports. There are only 3 taps so its not really a beer drinker's bar, and the appetizers were pretty good.
