The food was fabulous! We ordered dinner to go, and it was so much better than we even expected! The portions were also very generous, and the vegetarian options didn't feel like an afterthought. The mushrooms soup, vegan crabby patty, and lumpia were delicious. We loved it. New favorite takeout place. View all feedback.
What Aletha Wiegand doesn't like about Acacia Mid-town:
Food was perfectly cooked and my scallops were delicious, my wife had the Rock Fish it was perfectly cooked, but was bland to be the point of tasteless. The service was slow for a Tuesday night when they were not busy. The atmosphere was good and comfortable. The overall experience was very moderate and the price was expensive, not sure whether it is worth another attempt. View all feedback.
My husband and I proposed this restaurant to two gentlemen who feed us for three hours. We had a reservation of 5:30, the gentlemen arrived at 5:30 and fortunately found a parking lot. We discovered that we did not leave boulevard left on Cary at this time of the day, and that the fact, coupled with one-way streets and heavy traffic, led to much re-routing. We tried to take advantage of Valet, but there was only enough space for a car to pull in a time, so if a car was already there, we had to drive around the block again. Very good! My husband finally let me out and he tried to park. When I came in and found the others who were told that they could not sit until the rest of the party arrived, we were told that our party had not arrived within 15 minutes of our reservation (it was now 5:50 that our table was gone. The three of us tried to make (politically, but firmly our case. Finally, a woman went by and told us that we were lucky, had canceled a party and we could have her table. If the staff had let the two gentlemen sit and order for us, the situation would have been much less stressful for our party. Fortunately, our waiter was very nice and very efficient. (We stayed there during the week of the restaurant, so the portions were smaller than usual, but the food was delicious. Bottom line: allow additional time to arrive, especially during the rush hour, because traffic and rush hour can cause a problem.
Excellent service from reservation to payment. Menu is heavy seafood I love. I ordered a bit of everything. Scallops and Gnocchi were the absolute star. Cocktails were custom ordered and well made. Also ordered cheddar grits (good, but not noticeable), rock (good, but not noticeable except flower pure), and anchovy app (interessed it not completely tied together).
I had the sincere pleasure of getting a table during the last week of this restaurant 's existence. What a loss for Richmond! The last meal was...
Such a wonderful dinner. Acacia is a perfect example of how real restaurant should be!! No over stuffed menu and overloaded plates. There was just right...
Acacia mid-town was on a 25 best in Richmond list, so we decided to try it out tonight (Tuesday) since some places are closed this day of the week... My...
