Definitely brilliant. It was my second time here in this place. Space always has a list. But the food comes fast and piping hot. I ordered the classics, rolls, Vietnamese deep fried rolls, salad rolls, pho special, Vermicelli bowl with deep fried rolls. I'm not a fan of salad rolls, but everything else was great. Especially the deep fried rolls. View all feedback.
The new restaurant looks fantastic! The food is incredible too! It's one of the best pho spots in Richmond. You absolutely have to try item #37 on the menu!
As for the other dishes I've sampled here, such as the chicken wings, beef carpaccio, pho ga, and bun bo hue, I found them to be just average. Since the restaurant moved to its new location, I've noticed a decline in service, likely due to new staff who are still finding their footing. I’m hopeful that it will improve with time, as they gain more experience. Despite the service issues, I'm eager to return, especially for item #37, which is truly exceptional.
We decided to return on Sunday (the last day of the 15% off promotion, by the way) so that I could enjoy the chicken wings again. To my surprise, they tasted completely different from two days prior! There was hardly any seasoning. I inquired if it was the same cook (after the waiter brought over someone who spoke English), and he confirmed it was. They offered me another order of wings; they looked different but still lacked flavor. They were kind enough to remove the wings from our bill. I appreciate that they listened to my feedback and made an effort to satisfy us.
Review from guy eating his way through the Vietnamese restaurants in the Lower Mainland. This was my first time here at this new location but I have visited their other spots multiple times. They have a location in Ironwood and their previous shop was just on the other side of the Capstan plaza.Business must be good as they have relocated to this shiny, larger space. The restaurant was packed today and there was a short line up wait list when we arrived. It moved quickly though as they have a large number of tables inside. The main dining area is an atrium so it can get quite loud with all the diners chatting away. But it feels quite spacious and the various sizes of tables can accommodate families and groups of friends.Pho 37 is special to me because it serves one of the top bowls of Pho in my opinion and my taste preferences. I love their Tuan’s Special. I don’t know who Tuan is but this bowl of Pho is spectacular. What is it? You get a poached egg along with slightly seared garlic beef. The seared beef will add a smokiness to the broth and breaking the egg releases a creaminess into your soup. You got to try it at least once.Rays Tips:10% off every MondayParking: Lots of parking in strip mall but shared with many other businesses.
I used to really enjoy Pho 37. They had affordable prices, delicious pho, and decent service. It was my go-to pho restaurant and I went a few times every month. However, nowadays it seems they have jumped on the “higher prices, lower quality” bandwagon like many other places. They raised their noodle soup price by a whopping 25%, and after visiting a few days ago, the portion size seemed to be cut by 25% as well. Very disappointed by this! While their new location is more spacious and beautiful looking, some things should’ve been left alone. They have their sauces in little containers now that are inconvenient to use, and should’ve been kept as bottles. Not sure why this was changed, maybe to seem more high class or to stop customers from using more sauce? Either way, it really dampened my experience at this once beloved restaurant, especially since the taste is unchanged and still delicious. Hopefully they fix these problems to create a perfect customer experience again!
