If you want to get a feel of a Hong Kong "tea restaurant" in Richmond, this is the place to be. Mind you that there will be lots of wait time for a table. And you may even asked to share a large table with other parties. Space is at a premium here. It is famous for its pineapple bun, freshly baked every half an hour or so. Almost all the tables order some, so for a limited supply, you may have to wait for a long time... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Lido Restaurant:
Took the opportunity to revisit Lido during my recent trip to Vancouver. Much like the last time, the food itself wasn't bad, and the buns were just as good as always. My experience was slightly different this time, though, as I showed up at 8...More View all feedback.
This place is packed. The restaurant is small. Waited 30min, eat 20min. Their set morning meal is okay, and the price is about the same as other restaurants. Their parking lot is limited and each parking space is tight.
I hate to leave a bad review but the service was absolutely HORRIBLE. Extremely rude, leaving while we were trying to order and then taking the machine out of our hands and trying to force a tip?!?! Not cool. Food was ok.Edit: sorry I'll correct myself. The cashier tried to force a tip, using her finger to flip through wallet (which felt very invasive and when we left money in the jar next to the register (which already had money in it, she angrily grabbed some of what was in the jar and threw it on our bill. Seriously have never experienced anything like it.
A very small restaurant and there’s always a line! We’re lucky, we only waited for 10 mins! They’re famous for their pineapple buns! It came out hot and soft! We had the Chinese sticky rice that came with a small bowl of any flavored congee! We also had wonton soup that came with a drink, I had the Hong Kong style tea! I also had their egg custard, the crust was very flaky and the egg tart was very tasty and not too sweet! The staff was really nice and friendly!
Classic milk tea, lemon tea and thick slice of butter with your pineapple bun.Get here early so you’re ahead of the rush. But we waited about 20-30min during lunch time
Minimal wait time on a Friday morning at 0820. Ordered the combo set with the satay beef noodle soup with eggs/ham/bread. Satay beef was very nice. Good price for the combo $16.25) as it's just extra 75 cents more compared to ordering satay beef noodle soup on its own, though too expensive standalone $15.75). Complimentary HK milk tea was good.
