Fantastic dim sums with very nice presentation. The handbag-shaped durian pastries with H (Hermes), C (Channel) etc logos were a thrill to us. The dim sums here are generally more yummy and creative than in Hong Kong. Almost everything we ordered was good.I deducted one star because one of the waiters (or he might be the manager) was so so rude that we don't want to come back again even we have the VIP card (with 12%... What Kasumi Yamamoto doesn't like about Fortune Terrace Chinese Cuisine Fú Mǎn Lóu:
Our server always black face, never change dishes, no service at all, i need to help myself to get clean plate and tissue, even we spent over $180 for 4 people for lunch. Everything tasteless to us. View all feedback.
I had heard about this Hong Kong-style dim sum restaurant a long time ago, but it was quite far away, so I never got a chance to go. Today, I happened to be in the area, so I decided to check it out. Since it's not a holiday today, there didn't seem to be a lot of cars, making it easy to find parking. As soon as I entered the restaurant, my eyes lit up. The huge ocean view, the screens on the wall, and the lighting decorations all looked incredibly luxurious. On the table, there was a menu with pictures of the dim sum items, which was a special and creative touch by the restaurant. The shapes and presentation of the dim sum were typical and beautiful, making them very appealing. We ordered the Deep Fried Fish Fillet Rice Noodles, Steamed Shrimp and Scallops Truffle Dumplings, Steamed Crab Meat Cuttlefish Gum Rolls, Steam Morel Bean Curd Stick Roll, and Truffle Lobster Crispy Rice Rolls.I liked most of them, but I especially enjoyed the Truffle Lobster Crispy Rice Rolls the most. It was well seasoned and had a crispy texture. However, I didn't like the Deep Fried Fish Fillet Rice Noodles as they tasted bland and the fish was too dry. The prices were similar to other dim sum places, averaging around $10-12 for each dish. However, some of the Cher's Special , Rice Noodleson the menu were on the expensive side. Nonetheless, it's worth trying their creatively crafted dim sum.
What a pleasant experience getting takeout that is of excellent quality and generous portions for a birthday party of 20+ people! Will definitely continue to come back to Fortune Terrace for dine in and take out. Thank you once again to Richard and his team for delivering high quality food and service truly a venue that can be counted on to host your next party/celebration!
It's a good Chinese restaurant. The 10 course meal is supposedly one of the best in Richmond. Many of the dishes were exceptional, especially the Salted Egg Yolk Lobster and the Whole Roasted Piglet and the fried rice. The other dishes were probably very high quality for most people but I'm not completely convinced. Overall the servers were very attentive and helpful when hailed and the atmosphere was like a traditional Chinese restaurant. I would love to try their dim sum if they have it. Moderately recommended
Food is good, serving 8 dishes to the tables in 3 minutes is little rush. Underground parking is free for the 1st 1.5 hours by scanning their QR code inside the restaurant.
The food is above average and a little expensive without their VIP discount. The service was attentive but the place is over crowded for dim sum. I honestly don’t want to pay that much for such overcrowded restaurant. There are places offer better dim sum with relaxing environment.
