Boy With A Knife - Richmond

Stopped by here recently for lunch as the wife's nephew is "The Boy with a Knife". I was amazed at how well-run this operation is. There is a deli/take-out counter at the front with inside or outdoor seating areas. A gourmet catering division in the middle, and a large bustling licensed restaurant with outside deck/patio at the back. The restaurant was full during our visit, so we opted to try the deli at the front. The wife had a chicken sandwich which she said was delicious. I had a curried chicken and rice bowl, which was awesome and priced at less than $7.00 ! = Really Good Value !. We also checked-out the menu from the restaurant and it looked like there was something to please everyone and some excellent value drink specials. I was also very impressed with a free self serve water station providing herb-infused water. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and well-groomed. This will definitely be our must-go-to place will visiting Richmond. Well Done Brandon !

Ya, and this Boy has a Knife ! A very creative menue, not too large to be confusing, but large enough to offer tasty and varied healthy choices. Located in an industrial mall just east of Knight Street and west of Viking way, this comfortrable and trendy cafe has obviously created a loyal local following, as it was packed at lunchtime. Yes, get there early or you may miss the friendly service and excellent nosh. Open later now till 10 pm . Chef Ken.

We went to try a tasting for our daughters upcoming wedding and the food was fantastic! We started with appys and from the mini fish tacos to the Korean cauliflour, to the black pepper tofu spoons, everything was delicious. Then there was fig and walnut salad, smokey grilled eggplant, seared ocean perch and the most delicious wild mushroom polenta. Add to that the grilled corn and carrots and tomato based orzo and we had a meal to remember. We finished with pies for dessert, also incredible. I'm definitely going back for lunch or dinner! They are now open for dinner!

This is an awesome place to eat at. Highly recommend to anyone that is looking to eat healthy and on a budget. I highly recommend the seared tuna sandwich.

Really enjoyed learning about this restaurant. On recommendation; I had the Hokey Pokey bowl - sadly; our server was not up to DOING the Hokey Pokey while serving, but at least he got a laugh when I asked. The food is fresh and some (but not all) dishes are adventurous. They have a Deli and Cater as well - definitely will be back the next time I am in town!!
