Description

This neighborhood café is celebrated for flavorful food, generous portions and good coffee, with friendly staff, accessible parking and wheelchair assistance. The ambiance is generally cozy and well maintained, though some seating shows wear. Service is inconsistent — often excellent but sometimes slow or inattentive when busy — and there have been occasional issues like cold drinks, long waits or rare water outages. A worthwhile choice for breakfast, brunch or lunch if you’re prepared for potential delays.

Overall a good experience at this Mugg Bean. The coffee was good and hot, and the food came out relatively quickly. However, the service is touch and go. Sometimes it's great, and other times it's very slow and you struggle to grab your waiters attention. If the restaurant is at pax, expect delays. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch

I travel from Durban to Richards Bay almost monthly and stop at the Mugg and Bean for takeaway lattes. Its always been good however i ordered today 19th Sept and all my lattes where missing a crucial ingredient, coffee! It was watery and milky with no coffee, incredibly disappointing. I would have gone back but we are currently headed back to Durban Service: 5

Delicious food and friendly staff! I highly recommend their Butter soup—it's absolutely amazing! I ordered one for myself. The restaurant also offers a kids' menu, making it great for families. I dined in for lunch, and the price per person was between R 100 and 150. Overall, I give the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect score of 5 out of 5!
