Contribute FeedbackFoxfields restaurant offers a delightful dining experience marked by attentive staff and a diverse menu, highly praised for its delicious food. While some guests found the afternoon tea prices steep relative to the portions, the quality of the offerings was generally commendable. Many visitors highlighted exceptional dishes, including fresh seafood and well-prepared vegan options. The charming atmosphere and well-maintained surroundings contribute to an overall pleasant dining encounter, though concerns about value for money linger. Despite some inconsistencies, promising service and remarkable flavors beckon diners to return, making Foxfields a noteworthy destination for those seeking quality cuisine.
I had heard about the low prices at this restaurant if you go between 4pm-6pm, and it's true. The menu is limited to just pizzas and pasta dishes, but don't let that discourage you. I had one of the best pizzas I've ever had - a seafood pizza with plenty of tuna, anchovies, and prawns - all for only £4.75! I visited the restaurant around that time for the first time and will definitely be going back for a Sunday lunch soon. With two other restaurants nearby, including a Michelin 2-star restaurant, Foxfield, this place has some competition. However, I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant before the other two.
We visited Foxfields restaurant with a 50 voucher and spent 25, only to be told we couldn't receive change or another voucher for the remaining credit. The manager eventually offered us 5 as a compromise, but we were still left feeling disappointed by the 20 shortfall. It seemed like the restaurant cared more about money than customer satisfaction. We ended up paying 25 in cash and returned at a later date to use the voucher. I would advise against purchasing vouchers for Foxfields, as their lack of customer service makes me reluctant to return or recommend the restaurant. It's important to support businesses that prioritize customer satisfaction during these challenging times.
We visited a lot last year, both for afternoon tea and for lunch we even had a wedding breakfast her. The staff were very polite and helpful couldn't fault the service at all. We've had the afternoon tea twice now, and actually found it was a bit to much for us at lunchtime but excellent all the same and lovely bubbly! The menu is a little selective but we found the portions quite large, but certainly tasty. Lovely area outside to sit on a sunny day.
Hard working polite staff ....food fantastic but £40 for the afternoon tea for two is ridiculous....the photo on the website I feel is very misleading....nowhere near you get that much.....a couple of sarnies each...a scone each....a mouthful of soup and a couple of other small things with jam butter......£20 for two may have been about right.....shame really as everything else was fantastic.
Stayed here one night in July 22. Was lovely, staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely large room and view of water feature. Food was the best we had tasted in a long time. We had a three course meal and it was delicious. Animal friendly and there was a wedding taking place the next day; which had no effect on our stay it was beautiful. Would highly recommend a stay here. Special mention to the staff who went above and beyond their duties to ensure a lovely night.
