Lovely staff, able to make my jacket potato my way with adjustments to menu! Great coffee. Sons sandwich was tiny and in stark contrast to my meal which was huge. I think they may need to purchase some bigger bread! That said it tasted lovely (according to him) but he was left hungry. Will know for next time and order chips! Very quant chic furniture which is not my taste but did not take away from the food and thank... View all feedback.
What SirBillTaylor doesn't like about Apricot Meringue:
Is the building next door where the butchers used to be? Parked up, set wife loose on Cowgills stationers set off for AM! Colborne hadn’t replied to my Tweet! Sat down, great welcome by ladies! Good choices decaff on offer! My bacon barm,... View all feedback.
We visited this restaurant twice in the past month and were not satisfied with the cappuccinos. The first time, we thought it might have been a mistake, but the second time was still disappointing. The cappuccinos were more like hot milk with very little coffee. It should be easy to make a great coffee with the right machine, so it's confusing why they would serve such poor quality.
I went to this restaurant for brunch and to pick up a cake I had ordered. I was very pleased with both the cake and the food! Anita was extremely helpful, and the cake she made for my parents' Diamond anniversary was fantastic. It not only looked amazing but also tasted delicious.
The server mentioned a 10-minute wait for a prawn sandwich due to the busy rush, but it ended up taking half an hour. There was little apology and no discount offered for the extended wait time. I don't plan on returning again.
The food was od a very high standard all homemade My Earl Grey tea was served in a teapot with a China cup and saucer and the cutlery was laid with the blunt edge of the knife against the fork. My panini was served with locally sourced crisps and mixed salad. The decor was cottagey The bathroom was spotless as was the cafe. I will certainly remember it the next time I visit Clitheroe
Fresh food, freshly prepared, clean traditional surroundings, friendly service. Accommodated the wife's dietary requirements with a generous can do attitude.
