We reserved this restaurant in advance because we reserved a room at the Park Hotel am Rhein, without knowing that this restaurant was actually specialized in fish. This restaurant turned out to be one of the fine fish restaurants we ever experienced in Switzerland. As you all know, it is not easy to find a good fish restaurant in Switzerland and we thought that we would rather just eat meat dishes in this evening to avoid any further disappointments. We still tried fish and this restaurant did not disappoint us. We were allocated to a table at the window through which we could see the famous river. The town on the other side, the German side, was romantically floodlit. Thank you for the unforgettable evening.

On the banks of the Rhine, on the Swiss side, this restaurant has an elegant charm. Modern with elegant interiors the river view can be enjoyed only during the day. We had dinner for two nights in a row. The quality of food and the presentation were superb. The staff on both the days were very service-oriented and friendly. Good English language skills helped us as our German wasn't. The wine collection was noteworthy. The open wines were excellent. We tried the winter menu. All courses courses including the salad and soup were tasty and delicious. Having tasted the duck-breast, lamb entrecôte etc., we have to admit that the strength of this restaurant is the seafood. We tried the three-fish combination as well as the anglerfish dishes. They were remarkable and we enjoyed it. We were advised to book the table for dinner well in advance as it may not be available. However it was surprising to find that on both evenings , it was only us and a couple of others. Probably it was mid-week. Regardless, we enjoyed the quiet exclusivity.

I have been once there, the wonderful and elegant restaurant with view at the river is awsome, I love the decoration, the nice service and the excelent quality of the food, the profetional presentation of the gastronomic specialiys, it is just a wonderful experience, to sit and see the river, enjoy the Piano music, and enjoy a delicios food.

Wir waren mit unserer Mutter 96 auf der wunderschönen, behindertengerechten Rheinterasse. Gutes Mittagessen mit freundlicher Bedienung. Werden wieder kommen.

Während unserem Besuch im Hotel Parkhotel am Rhein reservierte ich bereits Monate im Voraus einen Platz auf der Terrasse um einen Wellness Tag mit meiner Freundin auf romantische Art abzuschliessen. Also wir ankamen wurde uns der schlechteste Platz zugewiesen (der einzige der noch übrig war). Da frage ich mich schon, da reserviert man Monate im Voraus und kriegt den erbärmlichsten Platz im Lokal. Ganz schwach! Die Bedienung war ganz ok, aber auch nicht Spitze. So wurde uns zwar gesagt, dass sich unser Hauptgang verzögert weil gerade eine Hochzeitsgesellschaft bedient wird (fand ich nicht weiter schlimm). Nach unserem Hauptgang allerdings hiess es wir müssten den Dessert sofort bestellen, weil die Küche schliesst. Da hatte ich dann schon etwas mehr Mühe, kann ja nicht sein, dass bei uns alles durchgestresst wird weil Sie nebenbei eine Hochzeitsgesellschaft bedienen mussten. Das Essen an sich war gut, Carpaccio war anständig (vielleicht etwas zu viel Olivenöl) und der Hauptgang (Schweinsfilet mit Mozzarella überbacken) war ebenfalls gut. Es fehlte aber grundsätzlich die Raffinesse. Die Weinkarte ist toll, die bietet wirklich eine grosse Auswahl zu anständigen Restaurant Preisen.
