We had our first dinner here and although we were tired and it was busy, I didn't notice the menu on the table and didn't see any clearly vegan options in the cooler. On our last day of vacation, we found many vegan options through a Happy Cow search and wished we had discovered it sooner. I was too full to eat more, but my partner enjoyed a cone. What User doesn't like about Valdis:
I had an orange sorbet that was very tasty, but I was a little disappointed to see the only vegan flavors were sorbets. Especially with how vegan friendly Iceland is, I expected a bit more exciting flavors than Juist Fruit Sorbets. View all feedback.
The mojito vegan ice cream was great. they give you a really big swallow. they can try before they buy if they can't decide. when we left, there were 4 options.
We visited the other Valdi's location, on Frakkastigur. There were at least 6 vegan options, including coffee, chocolate, strawberry, and blueberry ice creams, and mango and lemon sorbets. Delish, and well-priced for the area.
So happy we ran into this place. Gorgeous little ice cream parlour, vegan and non vegan. The vegan menu is big but not all the flavours are each day. (Mostly fruit flavours for vegans) The cones are vegan friendly but they make you aware that they are made in a factory which deals with dairy products so may contain milk. They also do tubs instead. I had the Kaffi (coffee) flavour which was so great and the portion sizes are huge! Its 500ikr for one scoop which is like £3 and one scoop is about the size of 2 or more scoops. So good! No seating as its just the parlour but so cute and perfect for a treat
Great spot to have some ice cream, right next to a great brunch place too. Located right by the old harbour. Plenty of different flavours the cones are also vegan, not too expensive neither.
Beautiful place for icecream vegan or nonvegan. A lot of choice and very tasty. Recommended for sure!
