Kelly's Roast Beef - Revere

We decided to try the fish sandwich based on a recommendation from a former local, but we probably should have gone with the roast beef instead. The fish sandwich ended up being quite bland and unexciting. However, the restaurant itself has a charming and nostalgic atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The menu had many other enticing options that looked delicious. If I ever find myself in the area again, I would consider returning to try the roast beef.

My 89-year-old father used to get a pastrami sandwich here when he played on the beach as a child. The roast beef and pastrami were good, but the roasted mussels were not great. I wish I had only ordered them. Sitting outside was nice.

I have to say, this restaurant is just okay at best. I usually stop by Kelly's after a day of being out in the sun or playing in the water when I'm feeling hungry. The food is fried and decent, but the quality and service can be hit or miss depending on who is working and how busy they are. There are definitely better options out there to try. One major drawback is the lack of hygiene among the staff, with hand-washing being infrequent.

The clam plate. I get a craving for this every so often (more often then I'd like) and if you have ever had it then you know exactly what I'm talking about. So good.
