What a delightful place. We luckily got the final table for 2 thanks to the helpful front of house staff. The Menu de Dia was delicious. Beautiful twist on calcotades. And faultless presentation of dishes throughout. Great service and great value at €19 per person. Would really recommend and will return. One of the few great restaurants open on a Monday.
Tasty local Catalan cuisine in a stylish, friendly ambience. This locally sourcing restaurant the name means 'from the locality ' has a very good value lunch and dinner menu, just off the main square. Though not for those wanting enormous portions, the food is excellent, and majority organic, sourced locally in Reus ' food growing hinterland, or from down the road in Cambrils on the coast. Sometimes they have a locally made yoghurt on the desert menu, which is super tasty! The place is double height, so check whether there is space on the mezzanine too, as the ground level appears to look like the place is only made up of bar stools, which isn 't the case. They also have the windows covered in film so you cant see in from the street, but the interior is really very welcoming!
Visiting friends in Reus we happened into La Comarca. The service was great. The prices reasonable, and the food was outstanding! We tried a confit of artichoke hearts with a duck “ham”; a coca with shrimp; and the “pluma” of iberico pork which was very similar to the hard to find secreto ibérico. Desserts, wine, bottled water, after dinner drinks; all were fabulous. I don’t know why the place isn’t packed.
