Kalypso’s is a real gem in the Tyson’s/Reston area. Right on Lake Anne, you feel transported to a resort area. The food is great! We highly recommend the shrimp appetizer, fish tacos, and souvlaki. You really can’t go wrong with anything. Jack provides exceptional customer service! Justin is always there to help with a smile. Enjoy on sunny weekend afternoon or come for their evening entertainment! View all feedback.
What Wayne Gaines doesn't like about Kalypso's Sports Tavern:
All around rather disappointing. The greater seemed genuinely annoyed we were there, our server was so turned around they took my order and never took my dates. Food was average and there was a hair on mine. I didnt bother complaining as it was hard enough to get silverware. location is amazing. View all feedback.
Jacob was absolutely wonderful! It was our first time dining at Kalypso’s Tavern, and we were pleasantly surprised. Jacob made the entire experience so lovely on the outdoor patio with a nice view of the water. The food was delicious but the service is the reason why we will come back! Thank you Jacob!
Great food and good service! Jacob was a great server. The view of the lake adds a lot as well. I definitely recommend sitting outside!
I love Kalypso's. The cooks went above and beyond to fetch some bananas from my bananas and chocolate waffle I ordered. The server kept updating me. The cooks who went to grab more bananas deserve a raise and an award. The cheese Pizza is better than Pizza Hut.
Lazy, half baked Mediterranean patio in need of significant managerial overhaul. Went here on a date, the server didn’t introduce himself at first and awkwardly stood next to the table as if he was my buddy. Very messy unkept appearance with long hair that was not tied up. Did not ask our names or care to read some item off the menu. He left a very odd impression. I ordered chicken tenders, took 20 mins to arrive when there were 8 other patrons in the building. This gave me time to realize there was no atmosphere inside. It feels dark and claustrophobic, with half of it being a dive bar and the other half “vaguely attempting” to be a fine dining establishment. No house music was playing either, everyone was just watching soccer. The food was definitely frozen and then tossed in the fryer. No salt, No pepper, had to ask for ketchup. 4/10 I’d love to see it change but I’m a local of 20+years, and it’s ALWAYS been this way. Don’t go here, drive 5 mins down the street and find numerous better establishments to give your money too.
