Sandwiches are fine but bowls are more worth it. Love the food. Nice and simple once you understand how to order. You don't just approach the register. First go to the front of the kitchen staff and fill out your order on paper. Then hand your order either to the sandwich staff or salad staff depending on what you want. View all feedback.
What Ali a doesn't like about Brown Bag:
I have visited this restaurant twice, both times before the pandemic. The quality of the food was decent, the restaurant was clean, and the service was average. During my first visit for breakfast, I was the only customer and ordered an omelette that was priced at over $8, without any beverages. On my second visit for lunch, the restaurant was a little crowded and I encountered two issues this time: the price was hig... View all feedback.
I ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich on Ciabatta, from their standard menu. There was no line, and I could see the care and attention on my order. I ordered my sandwich to go because Covid warned me to eat inside. I have to say that the sandwich was delicious and filled. I really want to go back and try other menu items.
The Brown Bag in Reston is my favorite stop for breakfast. The owner runs a great deal. When our office was in DC, I went to the Brown Bag and this is just as good. I absolutely love the Greek Omelette, Heimfries and the American favourite. Also love the bacon (maybe). You also have a great lunch. Thanks for having this great restaurant so close to my work! Great and friendly staff, who always smile!

I am not really a salad girl (always too much salad! but I love her roasted chicken salad. I have once dined and ordered online, both for dinner and both were great experiences. The staff does not seem particularly warm and friendly, but again, I only went at the end of the day when they are probably exhausted and try to close the shop. She can't do that.
Over the last 2 years, this restaurant has declined in quality. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, only to find out there was no bacon in it (wasting $1.50). The place appears to be struggling and may be going out of business soon. The sandwich in the picture was not worth the $6.00 price tag.
