came here on Wednesday at 18:30. we did not have to wait to take place and the service was decent. I recommend the ayce sushi and their fried beinkrabben. the appetizers and sushi rolls are fresh and delicious. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Minato Sushi:
The flavors are mediocre. The soy sauce is of poor quality, being overly salty and lacking in flavor. The rice is excessively sweet, and the rolls contain an excessive amount of rice. They are quite large, possibly to discourage customers from ordering too much food with the all-you-can-eat option. The only positive aspects are the decent service and some of the nigiri items. I used to come here for sushi and ramen, and today I came in with a family of 7 and ordered 5 different types for ramen along with other side dishes. Upon checking in, I saw an offer given through yelp regarding 50% off roll if dine in for ramen. Either the staffs or manager wouldn't honor the coupon at all. In my book, if they offer such coupon, you should honor it even if it is a one time offer. Then they mess up one of our orders. We wanted to cancel Korean spicy ramen for a spicy tonkasu ramen. But upon arriving with the food, they didn't cancel the one we wanted but cancelled something else instead. Sigh...
While the restaurant was pleasant, it unfortunately did not meet my expectations for ramen. The noodles were too sticky and chewy, the pork belly was mostly fatty, and the egg was overcooked instead of being runny. The broth was average. On a positive note, the service and ambiance were excellent. I would rate the overall food experience a 3 out of 5.
We ordered standard sake but were charged for premium sake. When we asked for the server's name, she said she would return but never did. When we inquired about the manager or lead in the restaurant, we received conflicting responses - one person said the manager would return in half an hour, another said it would be one to two hours, and a third said there was no manager or lead available. Overall, there was zero accountability, we were overcharged and neglected. I will certainly not be returning to this establishment.
The food at this restaurant is incredibly tasty, but the service leaves much to be desired. Every time I visit, I find myself waiting anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour for a table, despite plenty of available seating. The staff also rush through the meal, pushing the bill on me before I've even finished eating. Additionally, I've been turned away half an hour before closing time, even though it was still 8:30 pm. In the end, while the food is great, the service is definitely lacking.
Came in on a Saturday night for some sashimi and ramen and left with a side order of Montezuma 's revenge. The place appeared a bit messy and a little dirty as though they were a bit understaffed. I probably don 't have to say dirty and sashimi is not a good combination. The sashimi was nicely prepared and tasted pretty good. The spicy ramen broth was nice, but the noodles were over cooked, old or both. The young staff were doing the best they could. To my surprise, as I was making my way through diner, my unexpected side order began to show its early signs ... an hour later and Montezuma began to avenge. Not exactly what I like to take with me in a to go box, but this little surprise was coming home whether I wanted it or not. Regrettably, I won 't be back ... perhaps this was a fluke, and I can look past the occasional bad meal or underwhelming service, but this is the kind of memory that will keep me from lifting a pair of chopsticks here again.
