Michael's Deli - Reno

As always the most delicious gyros in town. Great service. Friendly employees. One of my favorite sandwich shops. Don't skip the pasta and potato salad!

The food is always fantastic. Sometimes it's hard to get a seat there at that popuperiod they make everything right there. Even the Croutons are homemade. My favorite is Gyro. Which I think they have the best in town. They make a lot of wonderful sandwiches and salads and even more. Realize that if you try them you'll be hooked just like me.

I have been here plenty of times. However, it had been a good 9 years since I had a Michael's Deli sandwich until December 12, 2022. We visited the Midtown location. I had a Lenn's sandwich and only finished half; I gave my 13 yo son the other half when I got home. The only thing unusual i noticed was my Dutch crunch bread was MOIST. On the morning of 12/13/22, I got a belly ache and diarrhea and by 9:30pm, I was viciously throwing up, and in some cases projectile vomiting, or dry heaving because I didn't have anything else to expel. Accompanied by the worst stomach muscle cramps. While the vomiting subsided by 12/14/22, I was in pain with the worst stomach sensations until 12/15/22.I knew I had food poisoning but it was a toss up of what caused it. I was waiting for my son to get sick and see if anyone else got sick to rule out Michael's or virus. Well, lo and behold, on Wednesday 12/14/22, my son who ate the other half of my sandwich experienced the same symptoms. And no one else has experienced any sickness in our house. Was very disappointed and in a lot of pain, especially myself, because of one sanitary overlook at this restaurant.

I didn't know I needed 2 mouths to finish this gourmet sandwich! If you have a love for sandwiches and subs, this place is highly recommended! I ordered the dabomb sub sandwich and it was sooo good!

Wow, this place was delicious, the staff was extremely nice and helpful, I came in late and they made me an extra batch of unsweetened tea even though they we're getting ready to close for the day, I had the turkey sub, fantastic red pepper cream soup also fantastic. Anything I wanted they we're willing to make it happen. Highly recommend this place. I think you will love it.
