**Dining Experience at Gambis: A Mixed Bag of Flavor and Service** Gambis offers a warm atmosphere with attentive service, praised for its friendly staff and inviting decor. While some guests celebrated the delectable ribeye steak and the perfection of dishes like calamari and tiramisu, others found the food inconsistent in flavor and temperature, leaving them wanting more. The new chef, Donato, has garnered admiration, yet not all dishes met expectations, with comments on overly thick sauces and lackluster spice. Despite mixed reviews, many view Gambis as a potential hidden gem in Reno, appreciating its vibrant ambiance and intention to create a memorable dining experience.
This was my first time at Gambi's, and it was fantastic! I highly recommend it.
We went to Gambi’s on Christmas Eve. The food was delicious, service was great, and we had so much fun. The prices were reasonable for a restaurant of this type.
This was the second visit and the food failed to impress. Service was excellent unfortunately the food was not. VERY salty. Almost to the point of inedible.
Mushroom Ravioli was so salty I couldn’t taste any other flavor.
I have consistently enjoyed excellent food at this restaurant. The owner is directly involved, ensuring a focus on detail. The menu is varied and includes all the classics like lasagna, mussels, and clams, along with some unique Gambis specialties.
