It was mid afternoon and we were not very hu... read more We had been hearing good things about Centro for quite some time now and thought we would stop in to give it a try. It was mid afternoon and we were not very hungry so we settled on a few of there many signature cocktails. Turns out that one of the bartenders comes up with a lot of the cocktails and I have to say she is very creative with her flavors and names. My wife had the Centro Fig Old Fashioned and I tried the Toasted Pecan Manhattan. Both were very tasty and we would recommend them. Our server Natalie was very knowledgeable about the cocktails, menu, wine selection and even introduced us the the chief. Defiantly worth stopping in and we are looking forward to stopping back for a meal.

I was also recommended the grapefruit guava cider, which was delightful—refreshing, not overly sweet, and just enough to give you a light buzz. We will definitely be coming back whenever we can. This Tapa house has a trendy and inviting vibe. Can I say it's cool and stylish? They offer a bar, cozy seating inside, and a heated patio out back with a tent for the colder months. There's plenty of seating, but be sure to make reservations in advance. The staff was friendly and provided great recommendations during our first visit. Don't forget to check their website for special menus and events—they're always changing things up. I can't wait to return to Centro Bar Kitchen soon!

The sauce was rich and flavorful, and the fish was cooked perfectly. However, I'm not entirely sold on the fried basil; it seemed to lose its flavor during cooking, but it was a minor issue. We also ordered the Kansas City strip steak, which is actually sourced from the stockyards in Kansas City, not New York, served over polenta. It was a nicely cut piece of beef that was cooked just as we requested. For dessert, we enjoyed strawberry shortcake topped with puréed strawberries—a delightful touch. Our server was busy but attentive, making our late afternoon visit very enjoyable. A few more things to note: Parking is available on the street, but be careful— we misread the sign in the back and had to move our car. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a date night, but if you're coming with a group, I recommend making a reservation. The artwork on the walls is by a local artist named Bryce Chisholm, which our server informed us about—definitely a talented individual! Centro made it onto our "must return" list for sure!
