Food was ok except they don't have tartar sauce for the fish n chips? Thats crazy to me! They also got our order wrong so we had to wait 15 mins while the first meal got cold. Was trying to have a nice night going out, and just decided to go home after this because I was so frustrated. Wasting $40 for a meal I had to fix at home. ‍ Update; They told me they don't do tartar sauce anymore, but I checked the menu and its supposed to be there. If they had told me they were out I would have just happily ordered something else. They game me ranch and im sorry but it was a gross combination. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Food: 3 Service: 1

Finally made my way to Burger NV — one of the few original tenants still standing in the ever-shifting landscape of Reno Public Market. As many locals know, RPM has seen quite the revolving door of vendors, likely a reflection of Reno’s increasingly difficult small business climate where rent hikes and rising food costs make longevity a serious accomplishment. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger and upgraded to sweet potato fries. Let’s talk price first — just under $24 for a burger, fries, and water isn’t shocking for RPM, where vendors often have to adjust pricing simply to stay afloat. It’s a tough balance between supporting local businesses and navigating the reality of Reno’s expanding cost of living. The burger itself was solid — not necessarily mind-blowing at that price point, but well-executed and flavorful. The real surprise came with the sweet potato fries. At first glance, I thought they were overcooked — almost burnt — but one bite revealed the perfect balance of crisp exterior and soft, almost creamy interior. An unexpected win. Bonus points for the friendly staff, who were wonderfully accommodating of my allergy restrictions — something that always earns major respect in my book. Overall: Burger NV delivers a satisfying meal, excellent service, and stands as a bit of a survivor in Reno Public Market’s turbulent vendor turnover. I genuinely hope they continue to thrive despite the financial challenges many small food businesses are facing in the area. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Dietary restrictions: They accommodated my egg allergy.

This place is disappointingly average. I waited 30 minutes for a dry burger and so-so fries. Avoid the fish and chips unless you like them dry too, since they don’t come with tartar sauce. I hate to complain, but it’s tough not to when they’re charging premium prices for what feels like bowling alley snack bar food.
