Favorite Italian place to go to in Renoa nd the Chef is from Italy. Everything is made fresh to order and tastes delicious. Smaller location and we have always had great service. View all feedback.
What Giovanni S doesn't like about Bella Italia Reno Nv:
My grandpa and I just ate here about two nights ago. I feel like their pasta and sauce could be a lot better. The meat sauce I ordered with my pasta was horrible, pasta was just ok. It was like someone put the meat sauce into a blender, there was no texture at all. I also wanted to try their bruschetta and it was like eating a large hard crouton with some tomatoes. Overall I will not be going back. The food at Olive... View all feedback.
We ordered lasagna, risotto, and octopus, and while the food was served hot, it appeared to be microwaved and not fresh due to the excessive oil on the dishes and their texture. When we received the check, the owner made multiple comments about how messy and unruly my children were, even though they were well-behaved for their ages. Overall, the restaurant was not child-friendly at all, with the owner being rude and condescending towards my family. We will not be going back.
This restaurant is a hidden gem! I can't believe it's not rated 5 stars! The food surpasses expectations beyond belief. The dishes are excellent and the service is top-notch. Overall, I would rate the food 5 out of 5.
A group of us dined at this restaurant last week. My spicy shrimp dish was good, but the asparagus that accompanied it was overcooked and mushy. My friend's lasagna looked more like soup, and when she asked the owner about it, he was rude and dismissive. The eggplant Parmesan was also served in a skillet with a soupy cheesy sauce and a small amount of eggplant. Overall, none of us were satisfied with our meals and we do not plan on returning.
The existence of the restaurant is a solid proof that we need more Italian restaurants in South Reno.
Atmosphere: 3 (they did give cloth napkins) Service: 3Food:2-3I had the minestrone soup: thin broth, vegetables overcooked and the portion was tiny.My parmigiana was ok but lacked pizazz. Cheese was bland ; so was the breading.. where were the spices ? The fettuccine was overcooked and sauce was awful. The dish came with asparagus: overcooked! I tasted two of the raviolis from my friend's plate: cheese and mushrooms: both were good.Perhaps the pasta was okay but this restaurant disappointed me . Makes you wish for Olive Garden!! My theory: Unless a restaurant can prepare food BETTER than I can make at home, why bother?
