Good food a great service. First time passing through Remus and happened to be around lunch time, so we stopped in the Remus Tavern for a bite. Great selection of burgers, sandwiches, pizza and salads on the menu.
A great place to get good food! Typical tavern/bar set up. Quick and polished service staff. Daily specials on most days. Have never had a bad meal here. Good burgers, a varied menu that should satisfy most tastes. Would rate 5 stars, but I reserve that usually for fancier restaurants with more sophisticated menus and ambiance. Food is always served hot and quick. Highly recommended!
The food was good, but I was only asked about my drink order when we first sat down. I would have preferred to order my drink after finishing my meal. Also, the bill was brought to me without checking if I wanted anything else.
Breakfast was enjoyable, and the service was reliable. The food and ambiance fit well for a small-town tavern. Breakfast prices were reasonable, with lunch and dinner appearing to be similarly priced. It's been some time since I last dined there for dinner, but the food was great then, and I doubt it has changed much.
I wish I had taken a photo of my meal. It appears to be a monthly special at this restaurant - broiled walleye. The fillet was quite large and came with tasty squash and a baked potato.
