The restaurant is in the Continental hotel across the road from the station. I went here for Sunday lunch. I had been to the restaurant many times before the renovations and had always had good food and good service. This time the service was terrible. The restaurant was full for Sunday lunch and although I was one of the first to arrive at midday, it took them forever to get my food on the table and I had to keep asking them over and over to bring me my food as I had a train to catch. They should definitely hire another waiter. The food was fine. I had the 6 course menu dégustation for €67: foie gras, oeuf parfait, scallop risotto, magret de canard, cheese and baba au rhum. The risotto was excellent and the baba au rhum was original as it was presented in small separate balls of cake and cream. The rest was alright, nothing special but if the service had been better, I would probably have enjoyed it more.
We went in one of the only empty restaurant but so Chic.. inside the Continental hotel. Staff is pleasant but seems to be very quickly busy. Anyway, i was waiting for a brasserie a bit more traditionelle. I had the redmullet but a bit disappointed, not really tasty, very watery. The tartare followed and again a disapointment. The dressing was so so and too much ketchup. I was a bit surprised as well than the tartare was not prepared at our table. Good point for the side dish with some fresh fries and a nice green salad. Dessert were ok. Wine list could be more impressive. Anyway will try again.
Since renovation in Nov 2018 we stayed two times in hotel Continental. In February we were very satisfied with the restaurant and had one lunch and one diner no Michelin star but interesting food. In April we did not find an adequate attractive offering in the menu's nor in the Carte. But it's a place which we can recommend as well for breakfast as for a drink during the day, lunch or dinner. One recommendation: consider to put half bottles of Champagne on the wine list (now it includes only Champagne by the glass or 75 cl bottles)
Delight for sight, smell and taste senses. Dishes come to you served by a very friendly yet professional team. Location decor are most definitely very good too.
We came to Brasserie Conti with high expectations, as it was recommended by quite a few people. We were delighted to find a three course menu available for a very reasonable price. Biggest mistake ever. We were 4 people and none of us enjoyed our food. I had the Marco Polo salad, which was cold pasta with cheap mayonnaise and crabsticks that tasted like they were on their way out. I didn 't finish it. This was followed by a chicken dish with tough chewy chicken and sauce that tasted like it came out of a packet. The others had the Sea breem with bulgur wheat. And that was it. White fish on bulgar with a thin, watery white sauce. No vegetables, no garnishes, and quite bland. The desert was listed as cherry clafoutis, but we received apple tarts with runny custard and a soggy crust. If you 're going to offer a cheap three course menu and then put absolutely zero effort into it, then don 't offer it at all. I really hope that this was an off night for them, but wouldn 't recommend the cheapest option on the menu if you plan on eating here. In addition the place seemed understaffed for one of the few restaurants open on a Sunday, and service was very slow.
