Voilà !No comment !
Uma brasserie come il faut - valeu a viagem!
During an overnight stopover in Reims, we once again took the opportunity to visit our absolute favourite French Brasserie, La Brasserie du Boulingrin.Even for a Monday night, the restaurant was busy, both with locals and with various people returning from their holidays (like us).The restaurant is dog-friendly and they made a big fuss of our Cocker Spaniel.I seem to remember that the last time I reviewed this restaurant I gave it 4 stars as the food was excellent but the service was not brilliant on that night.Well this time, the service was very good and, guess what, the food was as good as ever. The snails were excellent (albeit they do take a little longer to prepare) and I had the veal kidneys with wilted vine tomatoes which were simply delicious,The desserts were also great, as was the wine (from a huge selection, including a number of Champagnes). This place is the real deal - a genuine old-fashioned Brasserie frequented by locals as well as visitors and serving-up great traditional French food and drink - what's not to like?!
