Despite the restaurant being very busy and appearing to be short-staffed, the service was exceptional. Our orders were taken promptly and our food arrived without any delays. I was impressed by their ability to handle a large crowd under those circumstances. The food was good, but I think it would have stayed warmer for longer if it was served on warmer plates. Thank you for a lovely visit, I am always impressed!

Ma... read more I had a very disappointing experience at Cafe Rouge recently. The food was flavorless and lacking in taste. I wish I had said something about it at the time. Making an omelette is not hard, and I was let down to see that the sandwiches used a low quality, liquid cheese instead of something better.

The wine is expensive... read more Cafe Rouge has become pricey for a casual gathering. The smaller, yet intriguing menu is now only available before 5pm, limiting choices. The wine is expensive and the Reigate branch seems to be cutting costs on heating, as it was cold at 7pm and got even colder as the evening went on. Despite meeting here for many years, we have decided to find a new spot for our next get together. It's a shame, as it is a charming venue with easy parking on the street. Overall, it is a nice place to meet, but recent changes have made it less appealing.
