we knew that they had a pretty big function they cared for so our service was a little slow. no care. the staff was very friendly. eating when it arrived was very well presented and delicious. good price for a good standard pub restaurant. Apart from traditional the Sunday roasts we ordered were bordering on the terrible and a particularly desperate advert for pub food: cold plates, thin over cooked slices of beef, vegetables straight from the grocer without stopping for a bit of steam cooking. Beautiful country pub with large service and eat. would highly recommend.
Nice quiet lunch. Good food, I enjoyed my pie which actually tasted of the ingredients. Pleasant service. Portions are good but not too large, lots of vegetables. A good place for lunch.
