Obie's By The Sea - REHOBOTH BEACH

We enjoyed coming here in the last three years. Our experiences as a whole were wonderful! So that would have been a 4.5 rating, but my visit yesterday left me with the need to post this for the owner. I decided to try something new as I usually enjoy your bang bang shrimp tacos. I went for fish chips! It quickly I saw a piece thicker than the other, so I cut into the first translucent fish inside (that is not completely boiled). No biggie, I took it quietly to our friendly waitress, who had to report it to his manager Matt. Matt came to our table to tell me he had cut it through and it was all boiled. I told him the middle I had cut in was not completely boiled. He went away and argued that it was actually completely boiled. I was shocked at the abrupt interaction in what was always a calm atmosphere. This customer (I) held my tongue from any other scene, but oh how did I have to pray hard for Jesus to take the wheel! I'm usually not a Karen comment, but I guess my mama's gene forced this comment out of me when I fixed the next day. Peace for all. The customer is always right.

We have a drink at the bar every year. This visit was pretty bad. The manager had a conversation all the time. Seat people, food, etc. He literally ran into me without a word. The bartender made shots (all without customers). My wine came in with a fly. This annual tradition will skip next year.

It was not a good experience. Crab grilled cheese was burned. it was also expensive. Manager avoids our table because 3 crabs of grilled cheese were burned. the manager even laughed when we told him. the fries were good I can?t lie they were awesome but if You want to pay 230 dollars for fries go ahead. not recommend.

Horrid experience, my crab grilled cheese was all burned, still wanted to give it a try but i was repulsed after the first bite. i payed 19 dollars for that gross grilled cheese and it wasn?t worth it. the manager purposely skipped our table and then acted like nothing happened when we pointed out the burned food. the waitress was rude too. we got not just one, but three burned crab grilled cheeses. repulsive.

Awesome food Staff was great, a definite stop if you want some great service...
